Balance Staffs
All balance staffs listed are New Old Stock, and have been acquired through estates and auctions over a decade now. I personally inspect every balance staff using a digital microscope before adding to inventory. As many of you likely know, buying parts from these sources can be a crap shoot, often times they may be rusted or damaged. It is important to me to only list quality products, so please let me know if you have any issues with the product you receive.
I also do my best to make sure the balance staffs are the stated sizes. This can obviously be difficult, but I use a JKA-Feinmaster bench micrometer to check at least a few of the key measurements if the package was not sealed or is hand-labeled.
I do my best to list all applicable movements on each balance staff page. I use MATSYS300 system as well as period catalogs by the various manufacturers. I don't think these publications are perfect, so if you know for sure that any description is inaccurate, please let us know!

HOW TO SEARCH
We have an ever growing number of balance staffs, and searching them can be challenging. Here's a few tips...
- Always include the term 'staff' in the search string to narrow it down
- I have chosen to organize primarily by BESFIT product numbers, so if you know the BESTFIT number, try searching for it. such as 'staff 1030'
- When I can determine, I also try to tie in other manufacturer numbers - Quickfit, Ronda, etc. So you can try searching those numbers as well
- Search by movement, in quotes such as 'staff "PUW 65"'
- Finally, if you can't find what you're looking for, please EMAIL us your request
